Learn a Lyrical Irish Jig on Mandolin

Sunday

12:30-1:30PM

Location: Bill Monroe Room 345

Instructor: Skip Gorman (mandolin)

Style: Irish

We will learn "Patsy Geary’s" (precursor to "The Yellow Rose Of Texas") and/or the "Cowboy Jig.” Skip is known as a bluegrass mandolin player, but has spent time in Ireland exploring the Celtic roots of American music, plays great tunes in Irish jams, and has recorded a CD of Irish and Scottish tunes (see the FH store). Plus he's a fine teacher.
