Paul Harty is a seasoned performer in many music areas - singalongs, folk, Irish, country, swing and bluegrass. He sings and plays guitar, harmonica, fiddle, mandolin and banjo. According to Paul “I was bitten by the Folk Bug as a teenager in the 1960s and have never recovered." With a fine lead and harmony voice, as well as a sense of humor, his attitude is best summed up as, "music should be fun and expressive, otherwise why do it?”
Paul records and performs with many groups. While traditional music is the basis of his efforts, Paul enjoys contemporary music and occasionally writes songs, too. He performs regularly at pubs, elder residences, coffeehouses, private functions, parties, and corporate events all around New England. Often, he can be found playing in a trio version of the Reiner Family Band with Dave Reiner and Eric Eid-Reiner, who appreciate his versatility, expertise, and incredibly broad repertoire. Paul has also performed internationally in England, Germany and China.
